Overview
The Board of Supervisors-adopted Small, Local and Emerging Business (SLEB) program promotes the economic growth of the community and assists local businesses by giving them an opportunity to contract with Alameda County. Local businesses and certified SLEBs may be eligible to receive bid preferences on certain County procurements.
County procurement policy requires departments to solicit quotes first from certified Emerging Businesses and if there are none, from certified Small Businesses and if there are none, from Local Businesses.
The SLEB Supplier Query System (SSQS) was created to help Alameda County agencies, departments and other users find local and certified small and emerging suppliers that provide needed products or services. SLEB Supplier Query System (SSQS)
Certified SLEBs and non-certified, self-registered local businesses are listed in the online SLEB Supplier Query System (SSQS) to assist County departments in sourcing procurements in compliance with the County’s Procurement Policy. Certified SLEBs may elect to display only City and Zip Code information in the SSQS Address field. Click the SSQS Search Guide button below for information on how to begin a search.
- To self-register as a non-certified Local business in the SSQS, go to New Local Supplier Registration.
- To update any existing self-registered, non-certified Local business listing, go to Supplier Corner -> Local Supplier Profile Update.
